Guidearr Released

⚠️ Heads up: the hosted RockMyM3U service will shut down on June 30, 2026. Please move to its free successor, Guidearr, before then.

Meet Guidearr — RockMyM3U, now free and yours to keep

We're retiring the hosted RockMyM3U service at the end of June. The good news: the engine that powered it lives on as Guidearr, a free, open-source app you run on your own server. It's the same playlist toolkit you already know — only now there's no subscription, no shared service to share, and your data stays entirely with you.

What Guidearr does

Manage your sources Add Xtream, M3U, and XMLTV / EPG providers and keep them all in one place.
Build playlists Merge channels from multiple providers, reorder and rename them, set custom logos, and organize groups.
Serve any player Generate M3U, EPG guide (XMLTV), and STRM links — each with its own private access key.
Automatic refreshes Pick a daily time and your providers update themselves — no manual work.
Built-in admin User accounts with two-factor login, per-playlist rate limiting, and usage monitoring.
Runs anywhere Ships as a small Docker stack — bring it up on a home server, VPS, or NAS.

What this means for you

Guidearr is self-hosted: you run it yourself with Docker, you own the data, and it's free for personal use. If you're comfortable running a container, you can be up and going in a few minutes — full setup steps are in the project README.

  • Before June 30, jot down your provider details and how your playlists are arranged so you can recreate them in Guidearr.
  • Grab Guidearr from GitHub and follow the quick-start to deploy it.
  • Re-add your providers, rebuild your playlists, and point your player at the new links.
